Technical, Er, Creative Difficulties

Aside from finishing my rewrite the other day, this has not been a good week.

It all started a week ago, when I found out a relative was arrested for something very serious. Let's just say, his bond was posted at $250,000. Yeah, I know.

Then, I find out my 93 year-old Grandmother was admitted to the hospital. Mind you, you would never guess she's that old because she looks amazing and has never had any health problems, except for breaking her hip 30 years ago. And that's the problem -- the pain from that has increased through the years. They've since given her some kind of narcotic to ease the discomfort, however, it leaves her with no appetite. Which led her to become woozy and dehydrated.

Then, I pulled a muscle in my back and have experienced shooting pain down my right arm, all the while dealing with a creative impasses with the director I may or may not collaborate with. She pitched me a new idea not too long ago, which was more of a setting (which I loved, by the way). I took her germ of an idea and molded it into something else that she liked. Then, I buffed it and polished it further and unearthed an even better idea .... which she does not like. My gut instinct is screaming to go with this idea, however, she wants to go with my first idea. We're meeting this weekend to discuss.

Meanwhile, this whole week I've been feeling out of sorts. I sort of have a scratchy throat, so I'm wondering if I might just have a little bitty cold in my system. Anyway, TGIF.

And In Health News

Spoke to my dad today for his Birthday (can you imagine having a Birthday on 6/6/06?) and he told me some great news: two of my step-mother's tumors have shrunk and the third has disappeared! Needless to say, this comes as a great relief. She still has more chemo treatments to endure, so she's not out of the woods, yet. Though, it's certainly better than bad news.

Celebrity sightings: Monday, Rebecce Herbst who plays Elizabeth Webber Spencer on "General Hospital" standing in my apartment building's lobby gabbing on her cell phone (she was waiting for someone, but don't ask me who or why); today, Jeanne Tripplehorn from HBO's "Big Love" and her husband, actor Leland Orser (Dr. Lucien Dubenko on "ER"), at the Farmer's Market, while I was eating dinner; and on my way back to the car, I passed my all-time favorite daytime actress Finola Hughes who plays Anna Devane on "General Hospital" (who was shockingly not very attractive without makeup!).
