The Family Stone

I saw this movie tonight at a screening on the Fox lot, starring Diane Keaton and Sarah Jessica Parker, among others. It's a story about Dermot Mulroney who takes his girlfriend home for Christmas to meet his family. I thought it was great. Made me laugh. Made me a cry. Any movie that can do that gets two thumbs up in my book.

On the way to 20th Century Fox, I spotted Jay Leno standing on Melrose taping a segment with the public. And while waiting in line for the movie on the Fox lot next to the "Arrested Development" production offices, Jason Bateman strolled by and departed in his Porsche.

Speaking of holidays, I had a pleasant trip back to the East coast for Thanksgiving. It was very weird to be back. I couldn't decide if I missed it or not. At first I didn't, then I did. I don't know, it was an odd feeling. The best part was we had snow in upstate NY. In fact, we experienced a white-out during our drive up on the Thruway. The temps were in the teens and twenties. And that was during the day. Brrr.
