Back in the Saddle
It’s been a crazy busy last two weeks. Moving will do that to you. I am finally all settled into my new fabulous apartment and loving it. The move itself was rather trying, only because there were basically two of us doing the job and I was feeling under-the-weather. The night before my move I had a sore throat and came down with a lovely fever. I’m feeling better now and ready to climb back into the saddle.

We love Paul Rudd! Rite Aid is right around the corner from me. Do you ever go to the Coffee Bean?
I know that Starbucks. It's so small, though. I used to eat at Subway a lot next door, when I didn't live so close to work. My commute now is, oh, about a five minute walk. Two blocks and I'm there.
Screenwriting, what's that? Yeah, you're not kidding, I gotta buckle down and write something, other than this silly blog-o-thon. I used to be able to write at work in NY, but no longer. I guess I'm still getting used to my new environment and circumstances. I know, enough excuses already and get to work.
So Santa Monica, huh? That's going to be a bitch of a commute. Try Olympic -- that's my secret, semi-fast route to the beach. Don't know about weekdays, though. So what's your new job? Don't you think you're gonna land a writing assignment soon?
Part-time is good. That what's I did in NY and it was much easier on my writing. Not to mention, I had time at work to actually focus and write. Now, all I feel like I do is work, work, work. I've lost focus. So, if you had taken the personal assistant job, who would you have worked?
That's amazing that you guys are behind AKW for a writing assignment. Congrats! I hope you land it. Though, it's rather discouraging to hear how much work actually goes into getting an assignment. I mean, you guys have been meeting all over town ... for a fricken month! Just goes to show you what a bitch this business is. I'd much rather be in your shoes, though, to having access to an agent who sets you up on meetings, than a five minute walk to work. :)
